The Christians for Ukraine (C4U) International initiative has become a platform and a link between Ukraine and philanthropists from different countries to help the civilians affected by the war in Ukraine, as well as the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defence Forces.
In particular, C4U is involved in the humanitarian aid distribution chain, which consists of:
- personal hygiene items,
- essential goods,
- household cleaning items,
- tactical (military) medicine,
- body armor (bulletproof vests),
- thermal underwear and other stuff for soldiers.
At the moment, we have sent 5 trucks with help from South Korea (Korean Food for the Hungry), the United States (churches: Lima St. Church of God, Full Gospel Church), the UK (Trinity Chippenham), Belgium and Poland. Those trucks have successfully reached locations most in need, namely Kharkiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kryvyi Rih regions and several regions in Western Ukraine. Churches and charitable organizations distributed this aid locally to all who were in need, including the Armed Forces and Territorial Defence soldiers.
For example, members of the “Path of Hope” church in Plesetske village, Kyiv region, visited 40 houses, where 150 humanitarian sets were distributed. Each set contained 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of rice, 2 cans of stew, 6 packs of vermicelli and 2 rolls of toilet paper.
Also, 25 sleeping bags, 20 sets of thermal underwear, 20 mats and 25 water bottles were donated to Territorial Defence of Plesetske village.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine received food and personal hygiene items such as: 100 cans of stew, 80 kg of sugar, 100 kg of rice, 200 packs of instant pasta, deodorants, toilet paper, etc.
250 cans of stew, 100 kg of rice, 80 kg of sugar and 800 packs of noodles were donated to the church in Plesetske, which is used for every day cooking for the Territorial Defence forces.
There is still a need for more food, body armor (bulletproof vests), sleeping bags and other ammunition for Armed Forces and Territorial Defence.
